As the big day of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is becoming close, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed a unique 11-day fast. This fast is called an ‘anusthan’ and it enables Hindus to demonstrate devotion as well as prepare their minds and bodies for sacred occasions.
The Ram Mandir is a very sacred place for many people in India. It is being constructed at the very place where many think Lord Rama, a Hindu god was born. At one point, years passed by with no end to dispute over this land until the Mandir is almost ready to welcome everyone who chose a place of worship there.
Mr. Narendra Modi’s fast demonstrates the significance of this time for him and millions of Hindus. He said, in a message, “I am fortunate to be part of this historical event and I begin the fast with gratitude and humility.”
2016 The Mandir opening, known as the “Pran Pratishtha,” will take place on January twentieth. It is one of the mega celebrations in which people from all over India are expected to come to Ayodhya just so they can be involved in it. People will offer prayers, sing, and dance to welcome Lord Rama back home.
Though, the Mandir is not officially opened yet already thousands of people have visited Ayodhya to look at it. They are enthusiastic because at long last, they can now worship Lord Rama in the same area where His tale first started. Of course, the opening of Ram Mandir is a huge event for India and Mr. Modi’s fast shows how much this occasion means to him. It’s a time for celebrating faith, hope, and the voyage that we went through to construct this special temple.
