Lionel Messi Magic Makes It Eight! But the shock of City winning all awards and Haaland was left feeling disappointed.

Lionel Messi

On Monday night Lionel Messi, the best football player in world and universally loved lion lions won FIFA Best men Player award with a bang as he beat Manchester City goalscorer Erling Haaland.

Ultimately, Messi and Haaland finished with the same number of points but they did not receive seven votes from national captains which is a 8-6 margin. However, City almost drowned the town in blue (literally) since it took virtually all other victories.

In contrast, their strategist manager Pep Guardiola received the Best Men’s Coach and Ederson was given ‘Best men Goalkeeper. Also three City footballers Kevin De Bruyne Joao Cancelo and Phil Foden made it to the best Men’s World XI.

However, night story was the Lionel Messi victory. This persistent desire of goals which fans assumed would sooner or later give him the ultimate glory in a treble Premier League, FA Cup and Champions league awards after Manchester City was rewarded it. And it appears that Messi has some aces in the hole. Even captains drowned in the choice of Haaland as his masterpieces such PSG and Inter Miami through leading his team to an unprecedented MLS Cup!

Messi receives his eighth award in the role of best player which makes him one of the greatest footballers ever. But for some it is embarrassing but deals just on small-scale grandmaster who in another game (also passionate and back then definitely dominated by wizards such as Haaland) he can work his magic again.

The revival of Messi, then? Does Haaland recover in the next season? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: Tonight, Messi showed once again that age is nothing and good looks remain with him at least now.
